1076 Howard

Originally re-adapted as an office space for tech company, 1076 Howard Street now houses HealthRIGHT 360’s SOMA RISE Center, a non-profit community health care, mental health, and substance use disorder services.

Built in 1923, the 14,643 square feet warehouse contributes to the San Francisco’s SOMA historic district.  Designed in an eclectic style with Spanish colonial influence, the reinforced concrete building’s historic fabric was rehabilitated and the interior was reconfigured to house an open, adaptable office space. The scope included widening the interior mezzanine into a 2nd floor, lowering ground to maintain comfortable ceiling height, moment frames, pile raft foundation & soil stabilization. Rehabilitation consisted of re-inserting the original front elevation, update to saw tooth skylights, interior trusses and board-formed concrete walls.
