MVD Addition and Remodel

It all began with an idea of adding a parterre. Like a garden island in the existing yard, this parterre room feels as a natural extension of the house, immersed in and enclosed by, the exterior.

The clean lines of the original 1961 split-entry residence inspired the form of the new volumes creating a private courtyard. The interior, as approached from the entry, was re-imagined into a modern open family space, offering larger functional kitchen, living and dining areas, visually and spatially interconnected with the surrounding landscape.
